NOTOCORD-hem™ Now Compatible with DSI Cardio-Pulmonary Implant and with HD Transmitters DSI recently released a novel cardio-pulmonary implant for large animals, the D70-PCTR. This telemetry device enables monitoring of BP, ECG, and respiration parameters (rate and volume) via chest impedance in a single animal. NOTOCORD® has released a new software module called RIA30a respiratory impedance analyzer. RIA30a contains embedded impedance calibration procedures. The analyzer is designed for respiration analysis from the DSI D70-PCTR implant. Researchers looking to simultaneously collect cardiovascular and respiratory signals now have the choice to collect and analyze signals from the D70-PCTR with either Ponemah or NOTOCORD-hem™ (from NOTOCORD®). NOTOCORD® recently released NOTOCORD-hem™ 4.3 which is compatible with the DSI HD series transmitters in combination with the use of DSI OpenART 4.32. Researchers now have the option to collect data from these implants via either Ponemah or NOTOCORD® software. HD transmitters allow scientists to collect more data per animal in a single study, resulting in better information for the best decisions possible: - The HD-S21 collects two pressures, a biopotential, temperature and activity in rats or similar sized animals. This device can be used to simultaneously monitor various pressure combinations including LVP, BP, ocular pressure, bladder pressure, pleural pressure and more. - The HD-X11 is the first transmitter capable of monitoring pressure and a biopotential in mouse models. The device is frequently used to collect blood pressure and ECG in cardiovascular mouse models. The device may be used in sleep apnea studies and many other CNS applications.
In addition to monitoring physiological signals, HD transmitters send the device ID and the battery ON-time to the Ponemah or NOTOCORD-hem™ software. Device ID confirms data integrity as it ensures data is collected from the correct animal, and battery ON-time supports easier tracking of remaining battery life.
