Health Insurance through Medica 

  • Medica Elect & Essential is a care system plan that combines strong benefits with cost-saving features, making it an excellent solution to the rising costs of health care. 
  • The plan offers an integrated approach for members to improve health and manager the costs of care. We are able to keep it a good value by asking you to make some decisions up front, such as selecting a care system and primary care clinic (PCC). This clinic will coordinate your overall care needs and will direct you to a specialist when needed. 
  • Your primary care clinic is affiliated with a particular care system. A care system is simply a group of primary care clinics, specialists and hospitals that have agreed to work together to provide care. 
  • Each family member may choose a different care system, as well as a different primary care clinic within their selected care system. You can change your primary care clinic and care system as often as once a month.
Eligibility: All regular employees exceeding 32 hours per week, 1st day of month following 30 days of employment.
Dental Insurance through Delta Dental
  • Plan offers preventive, basic, major and orthodontia services.
  • Delta Dental is one of the largest providers of dental benefits in the Upper Midwest, and serves more than 3.8 million people nationwide.
  • Delta Dental members have easy access to network dentists. Delta Dental PPO is Delta’s national PPO network with more than 74,000 participating dentists. Delta Dental Premier is the largest dental network in the country with more than 134,000 participating dentists.
    • Eligibility: All regular employees exceeding 32 hours per week, 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.
Flexible Spending Account Plans
  • DSI offers Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). These accounts allow you to use tax-free dollars to reimburse yourself for a wide variety of health and/or dependent care expenses that aren’t covered through your other benefit plans.
    • Eligibility: All regular full-time employees, 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment

Life and AD&D Insurance

  • Company paid term-life and AD&D insurance coverage of 1x salary capped at $50,000
  • Additional term-life insurance up to 5-times annual salary may be purchased by the employee through payroll deduction.
    • Eligibility: All full-time employees, 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment
Disability Insurance
  • Company paid disability insurance benefits. You become eligible for disability coverage if you are disabled and unable to work after 7 consecutive days. Through the 90th day of disability, the benefit is calculated at 60% of your weekly earnings up to a maximum of $1385 per week. After 90 days, the maximum benefit increases to $7,500 per month.
    • Eligibility: All full-time employees, 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment

Company Matching 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • DSI has established a 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for your financial future. The plan allows you to defer a pre-tax portion of your eligible compensation and put it in your retirement account. Through our partner Channel-Financial, we provide on-site investment seminars & quarterly webcasts, investment & financial planning resources and individual ClearCoaching® Programs.
    • Eligibility: Any regular employee who is 21-years of age, 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.
