Ponemah Physiology Platform

Ponemah Physiology Platform

At the heart of the Life Sciences Suite (LSS) resides the Ponemah Physiology Platform software. The software architecture is modular in nature and allows the user to custom design the configuration based on their needs, budget and convenience – without the need for any programming.

User selectable acquisition interfaces are available based on study requirements, such as channel count and sampling rate. Traditional analog signal conditioning is available offering a wide variety of amplifiers to meet specific study needs. Digital signal conditioning is as also available providing unsurpassed resolution with a seamless integration into the Ponemah Physiology Platform (P3 Plus).

Features of P3 Plus include continuous, real time acquisition and analysis of physiological signals. Data is generated in real time and can be displayed in a time averaged mode or in a beat mode (data reported for every cycle).

System flexibility allows complete control over experimental parameters such as sampling rate, digital filtering, graphic displays and calibration. Enhanced features allow for remote viewing of a study with P3 Viewer, file management utilizing Study Protocol and hardcopy output to chart paper which includes waveform validation marks and cycle numbers. All of P3 Plus' functionality is capable of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Post acquisition processing is available in two modes, Replay and Data Review. Replay allows a study to be replayed similar to acquisition but with advanced features to sift through data and perform a host of functions such as area, slope and interval measurements. Data Review permits the user to modify the placement of validation marks on segments of waveform data while relying on P3 Plus to calculate derived parameters based on the newly placed validation marks. The entire waveform and derived data are available at once-no need to replay. Users have the ability to move fiducial marks, add notes to the data and synchronize waveform data with derived data. Advanced graphical features to zoom in or out on waveform data further facilitates the review process.

Complimenting the above functionality, the Data Security Option (DSO) for the Ponemah Physiology Platform, Model P3 Plus (P3P), allows the system to operate within FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. The DSO utilizes a Smart Card and Card Reader along with Microsoft® NTFS file structure to provide a high level of system security and data control.

Data integrity is verified by a utility that compares all files' content when created to the content at time of review. Any file that has been altered or manipulated will be identified and flagged.

Data Review

The Data Review feature permits the user to modify the placement of validation marks on segments of waveform data while relying on P3 Plus to calculate derived parameters based on the newly placed validation marks.

ACQ-7700 Acquisition Interface Unit

The ACQ-7700 is part of the Life Science Suite, and is designed specifically to interface to the Ponemah Physiology Platform software. The modular design allows the user to easily expand the number of available acquisition channels to a maximum of 64, through the installation of 7700 series signal conditioner modules. The 7700 series signal conditioners are designed to take in various signals, such as bio-potentials, blood pressures, pulmonary flows, tensions/forces, temperatures and even high-level inputs from other sensors.
