Data Sciences International (DSI) provides a complete system for monitoring and collecting data from conscious, freely moving laboratory animals. No wires or tethers are needed and researchers get the highest quality telemetry information possible.
The DSI PhysioTel® telemetry system facilitates the monitoring of animals using a miniature device or transmitter implanted in any size animal—mouse, small animal, or large animal—that measures one or more parameters such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, ECG, EEG, etc.
DSI PhysioTel® Transmitters send out the digitized data via radio frequency signals to a nearby receiver. Transmitters and receivers are available in a variety of models—allowing optimal performance for a wide variety of animals and cage types.
In addition to PhysioTel® Receivers, DSI provides other hardware including Multi-Frequency Telemetry Repeaters, which are ideal for researchers who need to conduct studies in a group housed environment and/or need to have telemetry transmitted over longer ranges, as well as our Data Exchange Matrix, Telemetry Signal Simulator, and Ambient Pressure Reference Monitor (APR-1).
The telemetry information may be collected using the DSI Dataquest A.R.T.™ system data acquisition system, a group of software programs which work seamlessly with DSI transmitters and receivers.
Dataquest™ OpenART™ allows researchers who want to utilize telemetry with other third-party data acquisition systems. Dataquest A.R.T.™ Analysis provides advanced post-processing and exporting features for the researcher using the Dataquest A.R.T.™ System.
In 2006, DSI combined hardware and software offerings with Ponemah. Ponemah Hardware offers a wide variety of Thermal Writers and Signal Conditioners to meet the demanding research requirements of the medical research community. Our current line of Thermal Writers offer flexibility with a large feature set including software driven functionality that works seamlessly with the Ponemah Physiology Platform software, and our Signal Conditioners meet today's progressive research requirements by providing users options of having a traditional analog output, affording high resolution with a seamless digital interface, or accurately conditioning up to twelve simultaneous surface ECG leads.
Ponemah software includes the Ponemah Physiology Platform, which is modular in nature and allows the user to custom design the configuration based on their needs, budget and convenience - without the need for any programming. The Ponemah Tissue Platform is tailored specifically for isolated smooth muscle and pulsatile tissue applications. Software Analysis Modules can also be purchased to work with the Ponemah Physiology Platform based on user application. |
