| Large Animal and Primate Multi-Frequency Telemetry Repeater Models - Now Available |
The DSI Multi-Frequency Telemetry Repeater is ideal for dog runs or primate enclosures as well as with livestock because of its ability to significantly extend transmission ranges.
DSI provides two hardware models of the telemetry Repeater: one for large animals and one for primates. The large animal telemetry Repeater attaches to specially designed collars, jackets or harnesses. These are used with dogs and many other species such as cows, swine, horses, sheep, etc. The primate telemetry Repeater collar is available in two sizes: 3-inch inside diameter and 3½-inch inside diameter.
The electronic components of each model are the same but the size and shape facilitate their use with various large animal species. Each Repeater has short-range and long-range modes of operation. The short-range setting transmits up to 3 meters and the long-range setting transmits between about 8 and 9 meters.
Both models are used with the PhysioTel® Transmitter and a Repeater receiver. Multi-frequency telemetry Repeaters offer great flexibility and capabilities in cage design, housing and data acquisition.
