Surgery Courses

Surgical techniques in Göttingen Minipigs form a significant component of support provided to our customers. Access to training and advice contributes to high standards of animal welfare as well as productivity and quality of research carried out in this species. Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs A/S can assist researchers working with surgical models and techniques.

Among other things Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs has experience in supporting customers in establishing the Göttingen Minipig in cardiovascular telemetry studies by providing hands-on support at the customer facility in surgical preparation of the animals thus maximizing the chances of telemetry implants which give good and stable signals. This approach ensures a fast learning curve and makes it possible to have operational telemetered animals available very fast.

Please register for one of our scheduled courses in surgery and anaesthesia. We can also arrange a course specifically for you and your colleagues. The course can take place at our facility in Denmark or at your own facility. The possibility of delivering training in house at your own premises can make it highly cost effective to train a number of staff without them needing to travel.
